43k on mine and still getting 21-22 highway and 23-24 country roads. Thatā€™s with some fairly heavy 295/70r17s (ridge grapplers). I only put 87 in it. I have seen 26 with ethanol free gas though.

I'm driving from Salt Lake City to Washington DC tomorrow. I'll track my gas mileage starting tomorrow morning when I begin the trip and will update with the results this weekend when I reach the east coast.

Am I the only one sub 15ā€™s šŸ˜‚? When I looked yesterday the liar said my average was 14.4mpg but Iā€™ve yet to hand calculate it. JLUR w/ 37ā€™s and 5.38ā€™s.

Pretty good numbers. I wish the 2.0T was available with a manual. Does it not require 91 Octane?

Per the manual ā€œfor best performanceā€

Iā€™ve yet to experience any loss in performance or pinging based on octane. It definitely prefers pure gasoline but all motors do.

Fwiw I canā€™t say the same about the 3.6 in my gladiator. Itā€™s designed for 87 but on hot days or when loaded really needs a higher octane due to pinging.

Copy. Sometimes the manuals says recommended which is different than required. I have not noticed any pinging and it's been crazy hot here but the Wrangler is probably somewhat lighter than the Gladiator.

That's driving style. Or lots of city driving.
All city so far, but mild on the throttle as I'm still in break in period. It's actually down to 15.6 now over 250 miles. I have the 2.0T JLUR XR.

Oh you're good. I get 15MPG in the city and I am on 33s M/Ts lol. Although there I do a bit of low inclination uphill driving since I live by the mountains in Pasadena. Also lots of traffic lights. When I drive in flat city terrain with less traffic lights I get 18 mpg.

V6 JL Sport S on rubicon takeoffs.

24.7 after about 1600 miles.

Sunrider top open in the morning, closed for the ride home in the afternoon because it is too hot.

I would expect the top open to have more drag and reduce the MPG ... can't really tell if it matters at this point.
Consider monitoring the engine's fuel mileage if or when the soft top has been lowered long enough to burn through 1-3 tanks of fuel. You might find the MPG actually goes down a bit. Such is the unexpected effect and benefit of air flow over the raised top, when we might expect free-flowing air through the interior to decrease wind resistance and its attendant effect on fuel efficiency.

I think I drive too fast. Only get 18mpg unless I really try not to go 75.
