So I will probably be lifting my Rubicon in the coming weeks and trying to decide what direction to go. I was trying to see how the stock JL Rubicon springs handle the extra weight of aftermarket bumpers and larger spare if I were to go with a spacer lift. I don't need to get into a discussion about differences of lifts just wondering if the stock springs handle some extra weight without sagging much.

The Front JLUR springs are soft. I have loaded ( hard top, steel bumpers, tow ) Rubicon. It has been fine, but just added a Apex 12K winch and plate. It dropped 1 full inch in front. I have used Mopar 2 " lift and Accutune Comfort springs. I did not have the winch with those springs, but they felt firmer. I would think an aftermarket spring would hold the weight fine. I'm just trying to find the softest springs as possible, yet hold the weight.
