I'm in South Florida and the rates down here are obscene. I'm with State Farm and have 2 vehicles. My rate on my XR 392 is $906 for six months and for a 2020 Mercedes GLC63S it's $866 for six months. Clean record, no accidents and 65. I did add uninsured motorist coverage to both because 1 in 4 drivers in S Florida don't have any insurance at all. All insurance in FL is crazy expensive, homeowners is off the charts as there are only something like ten companies who write homeowners in FL.. When I lived in NJ 5 years ago my rates were about 40% less on all insurance, I guess if I want to live in paradise, I'll have to pay the price.

Ouch, yeah that's pretty bad. My parents in Tampa area have very high insurance rates as well. Theirs jumped significantly when they hit 62. More than doubled.

Just liability on the Jeep is almost $700 for 300/500, a little bit better on the Mercedes. I guess they think I'm going to be running over a lot of people with the Jeep ;>)

Interesting… I live in Las Vegas so auto insurance is just stupid expensive. I went from a 2020 Raptor to a 2021 392XR and my rate went up maybe $100/year to a total of around $1,800/year.

That's a great rate for MI!! I'm from MI too. What company are you with? Thanks!
I'm with Progressive. Switched from AAA which was around $600. 3 vehicles though and one of them is a 392. The other 2 are 4xe. Price is about $400 each which is the cheapest I got. Everybody else wanted $1000-1500 each for 6 months.

Picking up my 392 tomorrow, happy happy. My 18 JLUR currently cost $1450 per year, full coverage with 250k/500k liability. The 392 cost a whopping $2770 a year….. it’s even more than a G63 ????????? Why? Because its so new? Or it’s mopar muscle car?
It’s a combination of 1. Insurance providers assume in a Wrangler we will do dumb things, and 2. The replacement value of the vehicle and 3. Thank goodness I live in NM now… in Colorado they based some of the calculations on vehicle weight.
- I submitted all of our new info to State Farm last week. So i am prepared for the hit, but have not Gotten it yet.
Expectations; 18 JLUR was more expensive than my previous while. Moved into a TRD Pro 4Runner 22, premium went down a little, now with the 22 i expect it to go up again.

Jeepless at the moment.
Just moved to SA, TX and my rates more than doubled compared to NC. Might have to rethink my vehicle choices. Went from $900 every 6 months on everything to $2200. Prob going to shop that around. I am in the middle of a claim unfortunately.

About the only good thing about living in CA and owning toys is that the ridiculous regulations cut both ways. In this case, my 392 was "supposed to" cost around $2k every six months. But because of my good driver discount, longevity with the same insurance provider, and a bunch of other things that CA forces auto insurance companies to comply with, my premium on the 392 is $325 per 6 months, and that includes "mechanical breakdown insurance" (better coverage than a MOPAR extended warranty). I was really surprised that the policy was that cheap - but when I read all the discounts that they're forced to give good drivers in CA, I was pleasantly surprised that at least one thing in CA isn't totally screwing me over.
