Mine is mostly around town driving, and I've averaged one every 200 miles.

With a mix of highway and around town, I’m about every 300 miles.

Normal, and if you idle a lot, it'll be more frequent....
Make sure you let it regen. Price out a DPF and you'll thank me....

16 Regens and mileage is 4200ish, so around 250 miles in between cycles. At least a few were incomplete regens where my wife shut it down before it was finished. Seldomly driven on the highway, and she almost always lets it idle after remote starting until the timer runs out.

I'm using a scan gauge. I have the four readouts set to:
  • Turbo temperature (to make sure I let a hot turbo idle momentary before shutting down)
  • Regeneration on/off (this is the answer to your question)
  • # of regenerations since new (seven in my case in 1,381 miles)
  • DPF soot % (when it gets to 80%, the regen starts, and ends when down to ~20%)
You should consider getting one, or a set of Banks' gauges. One of the members has a nifty three gauge Banks' setup.

The wife and I drove our 2014 GC 3.0 for 150K miles, I can say I never saw it regen once. We did a lot of hiway miles though, LOL.

Don't think I've ever seen a regen on mine at 5k miles. I'm sure it has, but I don't recall seeing anything about it on the dash.

You'll only see a message on the dash if you've got a problem.
