Ditto!!!! Around $25k for me as well. However, I am single and kids are grown. It was either a Jeep or Ashton Martin.... :)

I've lost count by now, but id guess its around $110 for the Weathertech liner in the back.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Not really broad. Pretty much the majority of JL's out there have some sort of steering issues. Its not isolated. Why do you think they keep coming out with new steering boxes and programs. So because I jumped the gun and installed a bunch of steersmarts components they won't warranty it.

Secondly the Track Bar Weld Recall. Because I installed a trackbar bracket I have to take it all off to go get that taken care of.

Third the Steering Dampener Recall. Because I installed aftermarket I had to take that off.

My point is they aren't unfixable but if you want those RECALL MARKS taken off your VIN you need to do them.

What I mean is give it a while before putting mods to make sure you can clear the recalls and not have to remove components and put back on.
I get what your saying, and also know that the frustration you've encountered in dealing with your steering issues has to be a real pisser, especially when you added components on your dime that you thought would address said issues.

I'd say it's more of a design issue vs a reliability one, but it is mind numbing that there still issues w/ models 3 yrs into the run.

I associate reliability in the fact that you can count on your vehicle to get you from point A to point B without much worry, and I think for the majority that's still the case, but YMMV.

I used to track it but haven't been updating my list too much. Most of the new stuff is just small stuff.

Buy my LA mortgage and I'll easily drop 30k on my Jeep. So far, I think I've spent around 1k in upgrades only :crying:, poor jeep. At least it has seen plenty of dirt.

If you think Jeeps are expensive to mod, try restoring vintage Porsches. I could buy a starter house in certain Midwest towns for what Iā€™ve spent on both my 914-6s. Unless you are dropping a Hemi into a Jeep, Jeep mods are pretty tame by comparison. My build costs for the 2.7 twin plug and 3.2 engines below were more than I paid for the JLR.

At least the vintage cars hold their value. Iā€™m not expecting my Jeep to be worth the cost plus the mods in several years.

@Hudson I have a Porsche 928 I'm restoring as my second car. Between the two vehicles - both taking premium gas and having work/mods done...it's quite pricier but better than when I had a Nissan that dutifully did her job without needing anything at all done.
