Well used bought a slightly used 2018 JLUR Sport S Was upside down on previous Camaro convertible so on a tight budget and, No my wife has no idea what I have spent.

3 inch round step rails $200
SV4 LED headlight bulbs $119
Diode Dynamics switch back LEDS $49 (black Friday)
Front bumper $279
Smittybuilt winch 10K with good rope $400 (ebay)
33 inch Wildpeak AT's $1100 (ouch)
4 Quadratec black Moab 17 inch wheels $400 (great deal)
Hood Decal (NACHO GRANDE) $30 still waiting on delivery...
Spare tire cover $50?

Used 7 inch radio with code from Ebay $475 Installed Saturday

Really only leaves a 2 or 2 1/2 inch lift kit. When 33's are done will go to 35's

So, I'm just wondering where my Jeep-Modding addiction falls on the scale. I've had my Jeep one year and spent approximately $13,000 :puke: on modifications. I had no idea I'd spent so much until i made a list, and honestly I'm sure I'm not counting everything. The bright side is, I'm done with it and I'm not planning on any more mods:CWL:.

So where is everybody else?
And still not done....

Isn't the rule you need to spend 3 months salary on mods if you love your jeep?

Ok, we obviously need to get some forum members into congress and make jeep mods tax deductible. Who's with me? USA! USA! USA!
I'd elect that guy!

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Probably Too much. My piece of advice would be to wait at least a year before doing any major Mods. These jeeps are so unreliable now that I'm thinking of trading it in I may remove all my mods as they won't give you what you put in at dealer.
Some have had problems, the vast majority haven't. Sorry about the issues you've had but that's a pretty broad brush there.

Not really broad. Pretty much the majority of JL's out there have some sort of steering issues. Its not isolated. Why do you think they keep coming out with new steering boxes and programs. So because I jumped the gun and installed a bunch of steersmarts components they won't warranty it.

Secondly the Track Bar Weld Recall. Because I installed a trackbar bracket I have to take it all off to go get that taken care of.

Third the Steering Dampener Recall. Because I installed aftermarket I had to take that off.

My point is they aren't unfixable but if you want those RECALL MARKS taken off your VIN you need to do them.

What I mean is give it a while before putting mods to make sure you can clear the recalls and not have to remove components and put back on.

I suppose one could say the same thing about a woman before dropping $30k ( something I would never do anyway ) on a ring !
