17" wheels that light require exotic materials (forged aluminum, magnesium or carbon fiber), and aren't made for Jeeps. My JK Rubicon wheels weighed 35 lbs.
What do you lose by going with a forged wheel? I’ll admit, I’ve been thinking of forged wheels as all pros and no cons (except cost). Avoid weight, super strength..what’s not to love?

The weight of the standard 2021 Rubicon wheel is posted in the forum at 21.6#. This is from an individual that said they weighed the bare wheel. I am assuming that the poster was telling the truth.

The 31.2# to 32# weight I posted for the standard Wrangler 392 wheel is what I observed on my scale today.
Not sure what to say except 21.6 lbs is REALLY light. I think that they may have meant 31.6 lbs.

This is from Quadratec's website:
https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/buzz-wheel-satin-carbon-finish-jeep-wrangler-jl

  • Color: Silver
  • Bolt Pattern: 5x5
  • Size: 17x7.5
  • Backspacing: 6
  • Offset: + 44mm
  • Wheel Diameter: 17
  • Wheel Width: 7.5
  • Shipping Weight: 26lb
  • Shipping Dimensions: 19in x 19in x 11in (L x W x H)
I am thinking between 21# and 22# is about right if the shipping weight is 26#. Mopar Part #: 82215802

True, but i mean jeeping in general is a money pit. At this point. I ended up doing these - Titan 7 T-AK1 Forged

20lbs and 17 x 8.5
The offset (-1) was great for 35s and stock 392 suspension. Not so great for the MC lift now and 38s. Needed spacers, but it’s no big deal. Teraflex 1.25 IIRC.
Pic just bc…why not. I ended up getting the billet end caps for these.

Looks great, I went with Raceline Gauge 17X8.5 (25 lbs) and Firestone Destination AT2's (42 lbs) 285/70R17's...+18 OS

Total weight wheel and tire = 67 lbs

....did the 5th one as well to get the weight off my rear door, I hang two MTB's off of it sometimes....
