How much boost will the 2.0 turbo have?

The gearbox will not hold up to that. It was rated for up to 350 hp, the guys at Motech (V8 swap) said.

I think tommy knows GM platform well but I think he’s wrong on that. I have the 8 spd in my wife’s 2015 Jeep Grand with a 5.7 hemi 360HP and 390TQ. I also currently have the 8 spd in my 2015 Jeep SRT with 475 HP and TQ.

You’re right but I just find it hard to believe this one only handles 350HP.

I found this on Wikipedia:

The 845RE name shows 8 speeds, “45 x 10” Nm of capacity.

With the Pentastar V6 and HP8, the Chrysler 300 achieved 0-60 in 7.2 seconds, and cruised at 70 mph with the engine at a mere 1,400 rpm. Gas mileage was 31 mpg (RWD), up from 27, with city mileage unchanged. The torque rating of 331 lb-ft for this version of the transmission is far above the Pentastar’s 260 lb-ft. Dodge Charger, with the same setup, did 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and had the same gas mileage ratings.

But the Jeep has a 850RE, so it’s rated for 500Nm or 370 lb/ft torque.

In my experience, mild cold air/exhaust mods and a tune is all you need to keep you in the safe zone and get a bucketload more power on the cheap.

I test drove a 2.0t Cherokee Last week, and it was quick! I was happily shocked at how quick it was! Looks like they weigh about 4000 lbs, so 200 or so less then the Wrangler.

Wasn't aware the trans had a torque max that low. Thought it would be sufficient to mate with the diesel. New trans coming and why wouldn't they just offer that with the 2.0? How many transmissions are they going to carry? Now you can boost and cold air induct to your hearts content. At least the trans shouldn't blow up. I don't frown on more torque.

The purpose of Etorque is to make start-stop more seamless so people don't turn it off pretty much. Doubt it'll have much acceleration benefit over disabled start stop on other cars.
