I'm one of many that have, but I have a Rubi so my pics won't help. Their axles are wider than what's on your Sahara, so my pics wouldn't be an accurate reference.

All models do share the same wheel specs. Yours are just 18's instead of 17's, but still 7.5" wide with a +44.45mm offset. It's very doable to run 35's or the slightly smaller metric size of 315/??-18 (not familiar with the cross section number for 18's) on your factory wheels. The one hitch in the giddy up, is its just below the recommended wheel width for 35's. Not all tire shops will mount them because of liability concerns and it would void any warranty from the tire manufacturer.

I suggest that you edit your post to include that you have a Sahara. Also, I helps others to better help you if you add what you are wanting to do to and with your Sahara.

Cheers, Pappy!

It can be done, but some shops will refuse to do it.

Manufacturers recommend that a 12.5-inch wide tire be mounted on a wheel that is 8-9 inches wide. All stock JL —and JK— wheels are 7.5-inches wide.

If it's just a width of the tire to the width of the wheel you're worried about you should be fine. You can find a ton of people with 35's and even 37's on stock wheels.

I've got 35's on stock wheels. Had it done at Discount tire and they didn't even flinch. Might want to give them a call if there's one near you.

This is my 2012 JKUR with 35s on stock Rubicon wheels. It looked bitching!

PS - It needed spacers to clear.

General grabber red letters are the sh*t! I wish they still made them. I have AT2’s on my 13 JK and we tried to get the new ATX for the new rubi but General/Continental has them backordered. Ended going with Toyo AT2. Anyway your 12 looks great.

OP - we put 35x12.5x17 on our stock rubicon wheels. No lift, added 1.75” spacers.

This might be what you are looking for. I have a 2.5" lift and these are 35's. I had to do wheel spacers but I was ok with that. I really like these stock wheels and wanted to keep them. Couldn't be happier with the decision.

You can do it, but wheels and tires honestly transform the Jeep. For some reason even if you toss 37s on the stock wheels, the whole rig still looks stock and the meatier tires disappear. Just my opinion though. Coupled with the fact that the stock wheels are very narrow and out of spec for most/all tire manfucturers, it's worth saving and finding a wheel you like.

Those look great, can you please let me know what your setup is, tires, lift, etc.?
2.5” RK adventure series, 315/70/17 BFG KO2s, and synergy 1.75” spacers. I’ve since gone to Icon Rebound wheels though.

Any issues with mounting either tire on the stock rims?

None at all. I just ran the spacers until I saved up for some new wheels. I put about 5k miles on them and all over trails throughout.l Colorado.
