There will always be a Wrangler in my garage. Now I am attempting to squeeze another toy into the garage!!! Man do I like this color!

We all see colors differently which is why photographs of some colors more than others appear differently. Our different monitors and how they are calibrated also play a role.

Even with that however that is Firecracker red.
Doh! I think you're right.

It's been a long day staring at monitors. I need to get outside.

The Miata is an amazing car, it's just a very, very special purpose car. I've moved bigger things with a motorcycle than I can with my Miata. I bought mine after I sold my last motorcycle. I had stopped riding after having kids - something instinctive was trying to keep me alive.

A Miata is as close as you can get to a motorcycle experience in a car: loud as hell, dangerous in an accident, and still grinning from ear to ear constantly. Having air conditioning and heated seats is sure a plus, though. It's much less fun on the highway than a motorcycle though. At 70mph a Miata has no guts and is really loud and I feel like a bug waiting for a half-ton pickup truck to squash me. Still fun though. :)

Amusingly, the Wrangler is much more like the car equivalent of my last motorcycle than the Miata - I had an R1200GS.

I had a 2003 NB Miata a few years ago. One of the best manual transmissions you could buy. Love the pure RWD experience, no electronic nannies to correct your driving. Traffic circles are a blast. But the first time I hit a frozen bridge and went sideways, no fun. I do like the ND Miata though but I doubt they will be able to conquer the Rubicon without some serious mods.

I’ve secretly dreamed of buying myself a Miata for a little runabout. I’ve had many chances, and filled those spots with a plethora of other vehicles, and then regret it every time. Who knows, maybe as a retirement gift in a couple years :) And I’ll be over 40 by then, so mid life crisis car as well

I feel you! I've been driving an S2000 the last 10 years. I was thinking about selling which would have taken me from a loaded Sport to Rubi but the thought of getting rid of this car made me sick. A few days before I ordered my Sport a guy in a Rubicon pulled next to me and asked if I still enjoyed my S2K. I told him that I loved it but was about to purchase a JL and wasn't sure what to do. He said, "keep it! I had an S2K and wish I hadn't gotten rid of it". It seemed like divine intervention and my mind was made up at that moment. I've never wanted to fast forward 6 week or so this much ever.

I won't replace my "baby" with my Rubicon, but the truck will go...

I'm keeping my 2002 Miata, as well as my 2006 LJ Rubicon. I think the vehicles are like shoes, each with a different purpose. The Miata is a running shoe, does well on pavement, not so much on sand and rocks. The Jeeps are like hiking boots. For dress shoes, I have a loaded Outback, though that gets weird because it does well on ice and snow. :)

Crazy Offroad Miata - stock

With stories like ^ that one, I'm wondering why I even bought a Wrangler!:LOL:
I could do Black Bear Pass in my ND!

35s work better on a Jeep than Miata:

I traded my ND in for a Jeep because my repaired shoulder and knee weren’t loving DD-ing the Miata:

They’re fantastic cars. I love them.

i had a 2016 mx5 when i was younger. My 700 dollar beater police cruiser crown vic was way more fun. The mx5 is a death trap. If you got t boned by a fat fuck on a e-bike youd probably die in the mx5.
