I always wondered why it wasn't zero. Then I read some are only delivered to the rail yard and unloaded, therefore have to be driven xx miles from the rail yard to the dealerships. Some are send to central dispatches, then delivered to the dealership on truck. Some are door-to-door. It really depends on the unique delivery and receipt method for each dealership depending on its location. It may or may not be true, I didn't verify it, but made sense.

People were surprised when I got my last Grand Cherokees with under 10 miles, because in PA they typically take vehicles out to make sure everything rides right when they do the Inspection / Emissions. I guess it helps to know the dealer.

I had 80 on mine when I got into it, but the dealership takes it a ways away to charge. Apparently it arrived from the factory with 40-ish. I suspect I was in fact subject to additional quality verification, which, you know, if they found and fixed any issues, then I’ll take that over a low odometer reading.

It was on a sticker attached to the driver's window, not the Monroney.

I also prefer more mileage at delivery over problems on a new vehicle.
