How many miles do you drive?

I seem to be driving less & less. I'm just curious how many miles do you drive? This can be annually, or to work, lunch, vacations, to jeep trails.

My 2023 JL. 9500 miles, I'm trying to reach 10000 miles by March 18th, 2 year anniversary.

2007 Mustang. 12600 miles. Put 600 miles on it last year. I know, thats pathetic! We drove about 29 miles round trip to lunch. I'm trying.

Ha! Let me drive it I’ll get you there! lol. I got my Jeep in September and I’ve already put 10k on it! Honestly wish it was less hit I guess I drive too much!

I have 87,185 miles on my 2014 JK. Since I retired in 2023 I have only added about 6,000 miles. However, most of that is on forest service roads.

Barely drive unfortunately - got it April ‘23 with 10k miles and it just turned 16k mi last weekend I think… so 3k mi per year? And unfortunately just a couple short weekend trips and very little offroading. Working full time is a privilege that allows me to afford the Jeep, but doesn’t leave enough time to enjoy it as much as I’d like.

Working to change that in the future!

We are on a constant go go go. The JLUR is a 2019, it has 138,000+ miles on it and it is not a daily driver. It is primarily used for Jeep related stuff. Trips, Jeep activities and off roading. While we are home, I drive it about once o week or so to keep the battery topped off.

Our 2013 Kia Optima has 265,000+ miles on it.

Our 2024 Colorado ZR2 that we bought at the end of September has 10,000+ miles on it.

We bought all these vehicles new.

We also had two a lease 2015 Silvieroao that we put 30,000 miles on in two years. Then a Chevy Avalanche that we put 15,000 miles on before my wife totaled it.

If you know me, I try and pound the life out of it. It has done great. The only real problem I had was the rear locker failure. With all fairness, I have towed a camper 74,000+ miles. I replaced it with a Fusion semi float 60. and now have zero issues. The motor, transmission and transfer case have been trouble free. It has been lifted and on 37s since the 2nd day of ownership.

I wheel it hard. Like this.

As an electrician who commutes all over, I don't even want to think about total miles driven. Fortunately the work miles are in their car with their gas card. Personal miles are still probably higher than most. Our AZ property is just under 600 miles from our house in CA and we do that trip ~6 times per year. Then there's wheeling trips, moab is 1100 miles each way. The wife dailies her 2022 JLUR between 30-40 miles per day...on 39s. She's just over 38k miles on it. My 2023 JT mojave gets most of the AZ miles. It's already at 25k. We didn't buy them to hold down the concrete in the driveway.

I bought my 2020 JL right as COVID began to hit in February, 2020. Since being able to work from home throughout the pandemic, and after, I find myself driving much less than I ever did. As of today, I have less than 17,500 miles on my JL.

2023 JLUR 7650 miles 28 months of ownership. We drive it most in the summer on the beaches here on Cape Cod.

My 2018 that I bought new in March of 2018 has just turned 49000. My commute to work is now 4 miles round trip. I put about 5000 a year now.

My 23 has 19000 miles 23 months old no issues

The work from home or my commute is short comments as the reason the Jeep has free miles on it are weird to me. If you bought a Jeep for a long commute you just like to burn money. It's not a good commuter car period. I bought three Jeeps to wheel them, and there are amazing trails all over the place. If you don't use it, why own it? To each his own but the low mileage crowd who assume that those with miles on their Jeeps are commuting in them are confused in my opinion.

I got my jeep when I was still in school, but gradually started putting more miles on it. Up until recently it was about 1,000-1,400 per month. Now that my gf and I are carpooling in the same office, we’re splitting the mileage between her JK and my JL so now it’s a lot more economical for both jeeps.

How many miles do you drive?

My previous Jeep was a 2020 Gladiator that I bought brand new in 2019. I put 72k miles on it in 3.5 years (~20k/yr) before trading it in for my current '21 JLUR. This one I've had for 25 months and I've only put about 23k miles on it. I bought it right after I changed jobs. My daily commute now is only 10 miles round trip. I've taken it halfway across the country and back a few times, and do occasional weekend wheeling trips.
