It's better than getting hit in the face by the rock, it did what it was designed to do. I am tring the Gorilla Glass when I need one.

I don’t believe in jinx so I will post this.

My ‘20 Sahara has just over 38k miles on it. Original windshield. No cracks.

Combo of Interstate, State Highway, back roads, even gravel. We have done some mild trails.

For mine, was about 1,300 mile range.... cruising at around 70 mph speed on the CA 60 freeway in Riverside, when a Dodge (Challenger?) passed on left lane (must be doing 90+ mph)... all I heard after that was a loud pop and next thing realized the windshield's been hit... must have been a small rock kicked up by the rear tire of the Dodge as it flew by.

A Permatex Windshield Repair Kit ($16) from Autozone did the fix, hope it will last a while.

In a Customer Survey last month for "Jeep Wrangler JL Vehicle Quality Feedback" the only suggested improvement I have for Stellantis is to consider utilizing their 'Gorilla Glass' version windshield as a standard option on all their future Wranglers.

No crack yet at 43k!

Well, there is a strike mark RIGHT on the outer edge on the passenger side but the damn thing never turned into a crack. I’m trying to jinx myself so I’m not gonna knock on wood. I want a new one… Crystal clear. lol

Yes. One real advantage of having GG from the factory is that insurance companies will then authorize GG as a replacement, in the event of a crack.

I was just over 19,000 miles when it got cracked by an idiot that swerved off the road and kicked up a bunch of rocks. I replaced it and have repaired six rock chips over the last 48,000 miles but no cracks yet.

Just over 6000 miles. On my way home from a weekend get away with my wife. I guess a rock kicked up on I-4 in Central Florida. Or maybe a big bug, we have those and the JL windshield is pretty fragile 😝

Just over 24K here and still no cracks. Not worried about it since I expect it to happen with any vehicle I own. Would be nice if it lasted for 45 years like the original windshield in my truck that still has no cracks.
