Out of curiosity I looked up which vehicles use the PCR (56029766AC) which would indicate they have the 2 battery ESS system. Then I looked up the sales figures for those vehicles. Since it was first implemented in the 2016 Grand Cherokee and Durango, the total is around 5 million, give or take a few because of the lack of differentiation between the sales of 2018 JKs and JLs.

2016-2022 Grand Cherokee 1735592
2016-2022 Durango 498117
2017-2022 Compass 689508
2017-2022 Pacifica 662336
2018-2022 Wrangler 1104301
2020-2022 Gladiator 301286
Total 4991140

I forgot about the electrics (like 4xe) and the etorques which won't have 2 batteries, I wonder what that does to the total.

I also wonder how the 4xe, with a tow package ads on the auxiliary switches, with no extra battery what are the auxiliary switches connected to?

Cool thread, love the info!
Just curious where'd you search these numbers?

The aux battery has nothing specific to do with the auxiliary switches. The auxiliary switches are always tied in to the 12 volt system regardless of what batteries are involved.

I used wikipedia for the numbers which also include Canadian sales. I verified some of those numbers with sales figures posted posted on this site.

I had a '19 WK2 (granted, for only 1 year), but I don't remember it having an ESS battery...

Of all the vehicles in this list, I would think that the Wrangler and Gladiator are most likely to be purchased as recreational vehicles that are not driven regularly to keep the batteries charged and so have more issues with the batteries.
