How long for a custom order?

It takes about 2 days to build a Jeep not 2 weeks. Although you may sit in I or KZ for a few days after being built.

Ordered on 1/29.

D1 Status on 2/2 (all parts avail to build). Estimated Ship Date: 2/14.

Building started today, 2/13 (2 wks after ordering)

I'm guessing it takes 2 wks to build and another 2 wks for delivery to AR.

6wks total. What is everyone else seeing?

"Holy Fast Ordering process, Batman!" I was behind the 8-ball and didn't get around to putting an order in on the Rubicon until last Monday, Feb 5. Truth be known, I really looked around at all of the incoming units to SoCal and the combination of not finding exactly what I wanted (manual transmission seemingly the hardest to find) and prices at MSRP or higher, I decided to order. I debated only a little bit on color as I wanted to get the order in - with a plan that I would change the color once the family reached a consensus. Well, that plan seems to be out the window! My pro-active dealership (Hunter Jeep in Lancaster, CA) proactively provides updates each Wednesday and frankly I wasn't expecting much as this is only the 1-week mark. But, holy cow! I have a VIN already assigned as well as a projected ship date of Feb 23!! Now this is getting exciting.... but I hope the family doesn't shoot me on the red "placeholder" color!!!

I've been trying to get info on JL availability from my 3 closest Jeep dealers here in Southern California for about a month and after countless emails and phone calls I'm finally ready to give up, place a custom order, and wait. The dealer told me it takes 15 weeks from placing the order to delivery. Does that seem about right?

Don't bother.

I ordered my JLU on 11/29 and they haven't even put a single bolt on it yet. Won't get my car unti April or May most likely

Jb to kz (shipping) takes about 24hrs. but they can sit in kz for quite awhile.

Where did you order from in the Country? I ordered from a dealership just outside of Chicago on Jan 4th and now, 10 Days later, I still have NOT received a VIN! Should I be concerned?

Yes I got a. Vin in 24 hours

Order is in KZ LD status. ETA was pushed out 5 more days from previous (3/15-3/21). Roughly 7wks from 1/29 order input so far. May end up in April before it's all over.

I ordered mine last night and got a VIN # this afternoon. I went through DARCARS in Maryland. I have no idea why some dealers are faster than others.

It depends if you have upgrades it can take longer with upgrades

At "KZ T" status now ... second train departure ... JL has not yet left the facility. ETA (Estimated Time for Arrival) at dealership was shortened by 3 days (3/13 - 3/17).

Still, an estimated 7wks from order to delivery (1/29 to 3/17), so far.

I ordered mine on 1/13, but have no idea what to expect. Dealer said 6-8 weeks but I think he was pulling that number out of his &$%. I have a VON number, but I have no idea how to track it. How do you know when you get a VIN assigned? Do I just need to keep pestering the dealership?

Just call your dealer he WILL know. I ordered 2Dr rubicon 1-11-18 . I had a VIN in 1 week. I live in Canton Ohio heck I could drive to Jeep plant.
