you guys realize that if a chipmunk runs out in front of your wrangler at some of these speeds and you try to avoid it (because chipmunks are really cute), you will basically die? I do drive at the same speeds in various vehicles
but I am well aware of my mortality :)

If I try to avoid it... Nature will make more cute chipmunks, but will not make more Me.

Sorry Alvin.

I was quite comfortable cruising at 75 with the stock suspension & 33's. Even with a lift and 37's, it's pleasant at those speeds. Unless it's really windy.

Is this your first Jeep? Not trying to be facetious, but it does take some getting used to.
It's taking me time even with the 4-door! I am struggling to keep a consistent speed, but have been consistently below the 70mph speed limit. Maybe it's because I'm looking around in my one-week old car too much? Maybe it's because I've only driven cars my entire life? But either way, I am enjoying the hell out of it.

I did 90+ one time for just a few minutes, just to say I did, and it felt like any other time I've driven 90 in any other ordinary vehicle. But I drive around 80 sometimes, you could say frequently.

Usually drive my 2Dr between 45 and 65 because that is where I am comfortable driving (and its the best for mileage).
I am 57 and tire pressure is alway 41-43. I have driven in the 70's for extended periods of time and the Jeep feels like its handling fine....but like "Jayvis" wrote in his post; I drive in my comfort zone...which typically is slower than other drivers on any given road and I am passed by everyone..... Its okay because I am enjoying the ride...and I try not to get in a hurry. (plus no worries of speeding tickets).
Now when I am driving my Corvette....its the opposite; I am passing everyone. But between the two, I prefer the Jeep :):jk:.

Some of you drive too fast.

This vehicle is not designed for nimble street driving. I’m 55, I’m not a slow driver. But, I drove my mini much more aggressively because it was designed to be driving that way.

With the Jeep I find my highway speeds much more leisurely. When the speed limit is 75, I live in Texas, look down and I was right at 70.

Haven’t gone far enough down I10 yet to get where it is 85. Last time I was in that area there were many vehicles way below 70 still on the road.

Be safe out there. It’s not a competition.

Yep, too many people tend to go into race mode while on the highway. Driving a Wrangler at those high speeds is a bet that can end tragically. If we had speed limits of 80 or 85, I'd still keep mine at no higher than 70, even in perfect weather and road conditions. My Wrangler is a pleasure vehicle, not a daily grind hauler used to get me to work on time because I was too lazy to get up 5 minutes earlier.

2019 JL on 37's, 2.0 Mopr lift.. have had it up to 80 unadjusted speedo ;) Actually with the expected lift/tire combo wavers it wasn't all that bad...but cruises at 75 like a champ and zero steering problems, Jeep had 11 miles on it when I got it...…………….

I drove my JLR on a regular basis between 75-80mph on the highway. No problem at all.

On a clear day (light gusts of wind) on a Stock everything Sport 2DR 2.0T Soft Top/ 39 PSI all around -

Highest speed 98mph - passing traffic going 85-88mph.

It felt fine. Not as flat as the Camaro I traded in for my Jeep - Named MashPotato. I'm learning how to take corners in this thing. Making a wide slow(ing) turn 31-26mph - over a pothole. First set of wheels went off the ground second set of wheels went off the ground. I was midair (think horse jumping over pole) and the MashPotato did a torso twist landing. Scared me more than going 98mph - this thing moves.

I have 2 Dr JL with 2 inch Mopar lift and 37" Falken Wildpeaks. Just went over 34,000 miles and I drive whatever the speed limit is. I have accelerated to 100 to get ahead of a semi on the interstate, I have no issues unless it's a really bumpy road. But I've had a lot of 2 Dr Jeep's In my life..

Well buddy, I am 72 years old. I have a Mojito! 2018 JL Sport S 2 door hardtop with 35” tires, 2” Mopar lift kit, regeared from stock 3.45 to 4.88, Katzkin leather interior, Halo LED headlights and a Stage 2 Prodigy Turbo Kit (with a gauge set monitoring wide band AFR, boost and turbine oil pressure). My freeway driving is mostly on what we call the Grand Parkway in Houston, Texas. The speed limit there is 75. I routinely travel at 2600 rpm in 8th gear and 80mph. When it’s windy I do get blown around a bit but you get used to it. So don’t give me that age excuse. It’s all in your spirit.
