How durable is bed liner on plastic fenders?

I still have my factory plastic fenders, and I like them, but dragging rocks and trees is starting to show some wear. How well will bed liner hold up when dragging branches or rocks? I expect that it will hold up to the random branch, but may not do well against rocks.

Who has used Line-x or a DIY product? Would you do it again?
