How does everyone mount their cell phones?

Hi Everyone.... I am wondering why people are mounting their phone. CarPlay provides access to text, maps, phone, etc.

Not everyone has CarPlay or Android Auto.

I put mine in the spot where you store the key (middle of the two cup holders). Works well

How did you mount your cell phone? Just got a new JLUR and am looking for ideas for placement and mount type.

I use Android Auto. I just put the phone in the storage compartment under the armrest. There is a usb port in there. Works very well for me

My dash mount arrived today from Amazon. I replaced the cable with a shorter 3A USB-C. Very fast to put the phone in and pull out.

Just reading posts in this topic I get a feeling that people who buy Jeep prefer android phones over apple ? Is that true ?
FYI I'm in android camp :P

And i think that slot is meant to be a phone holder only and not key holder. Why would I keep my keys in that slot just to forget them back in the car :P

place my old iphone 4 in bigger slot (use it as an ipod for music), place my iphone 5c in the smaller slot. Holder fits perfectly in one of the cup holders.

Nahhh I don't think that's true. Depends on what you prefer...don't believe having a Jeep determines what kinda phone you have.

Negative, that slot was specifically designed to store the key while driving.
