I guess it’s not an issue but I’ve been wondering if Jeep motors ever get starved for oil on those super steep trails , say while winching or even without. Is the oil pan and pickup designed in a special way, can any car do this?

They don't lol

If it's really steep they actually start sucking oil into the pcv system and burning it.

See the first bit of this

I can't speak for Jeep, but my GT3's crankcase has baffles that control the oil slosh under cornering G-forces. Perhaps Jeep has the same? It's not like it's a costly feature to incorporate into the design - especially given intended use.

So I thought about that but wondered if baffles would be enough. I get it for G forces on a racetrack Some of the angles I seenin pics of Jeeps are insane.

That‘s G-force, not an occasional tilt. My boxster has the same design.

IF it’s even a problem then there might be a secondary pickup and maybe some kind of check valve; but I’m not sure it’s even a problem.
