Look at the front shape of your JL. No real aerodynamics there, just a flat horizonal plane and a flat vertical plane, that will provide that upthrust of air to allow those bugs to clear your windshield.
If it's really a problem for you, get an old school bug protector and mount it on the front of your Jeep. Give them bugs a real windy ride!
