So I put 35s on my JL Sport-S about 6k miles ago. However, I didn't do the calibration for the tires until now 14k-miles. Just wondering how much false miles are on there now?

There are less miles showing on the odometer than actually on the Jeep - roughly 10%. So, I’d estimate you actually drove 15,400 miles.

Edit: I read your post wrong. You’ve had them on for 6000 miles per the odometer, so you’ve driven approximately 6600 miles.

If you went to a larger tire, you have no 'false miles' on the odometer.

It's a math problem, but you left out a variable (size of prior tire). Assuming 33s, you understated the prior 6k miles by 6%.

New tire size/old tire size X Odometer reading.

I use it to calculate my speed. For me i think i just did 35/33 x 50km/hr is actually 53kmh. You may have to fudge the numbers to get it right

I put them on at about 6k until now.

No sure what the previous tire size was, but the Jeep is a Sport-S 2021 if that helps.

Circumference is pi * diameter. This is why each revolution is off by the simple ratio of tire heights. So 35/31.5 * 6000 miles is how far off you are. 666 miles. Now you’re in trouble.

just curious as to why it took so long to calibrate the tire size after going from 31" to 35" ? Your speedo would have been way off at higher speeds.

Only a tad over 10%, unlikely to get someone a ticket unless they are already pushing the limit of their local PD’s tolerance.
