There are less miles showing on the odometer than actually on the Jeep - roughly 10%. So, I’d estimate you actually drove 15,400 miles. So I put 35s on my JL Sport-S about 6k miles ago. However, I didn't do the calibration for the tires until now 14k-miles. Just wondering how much false miles are on there now?
If you went to a larger tire, you have no 'false miles' on the odometer. So I put 35s on my JL Sport-S about 6k miles ago. However, I didn't do the calibration for the tires until now 14k-miles. Just wondering how much false miles are on there now?
I based my math on stock size, which I believe is 245/75/17.It's a math problem, but you left out a variable (size of prior tire). Assuming 33s, you understated the prior 6k miles by 6%.

Edit: I read your post wrong. You’ve had them on for 6000 miles per the odometer, so you’ve driven approximately 6600 miles.
Your vehicle actually travelled farther than your odometer recorded. If anything, that's a good thing for you. Nothing to worry about.I'm Sorry....
And those fewer miles were harder miles, so its a wash.Your vehicle actually travelled farther than your odometer recorded. If anything, that's a good thing for you. Nothing to worry about.
just curious as to why it took so long to calibrate the tire size after going from 31" to 35" ? Your speedo would have been way off at higher speeds. So I put 35s on my JL Sport-S about 6k miles ago. Only a tad over 10%, unlikely to get someone a ticket unless they are already pushing the limit of their local PD’s tolerance.just curious as to why it took so long to calibrate the tire size after going from 31" to 35" ? Your speedo would have been way off at higher speeds.
