How bad is registration in your area?

Ok I know Jeeps hold their value but Good God! $768 initial registration and now $752 for first renewal, only a $16 drop for the registration! Yowza! I loaded my Rubicon JLU up to the tune of $55,900 when I ordered it so that's what Nevada is basing it on. How bad are you getting soaked?

I paid $3,200 in taxes when i bought the Jeep. Registration is $40 a year or something nominal like that. We don't have inspections, which is awesome and saves additional money

I got my notice for registration, MSRP on Jeep was about $54k, they are taxing me on Jeep value of $58k. The registration is a little over $1200.

the real kicker is when you have multiple vehicles... including toys that just sit, but still cost a fortune for registration.

I did a 2 year renewal of my personalized plate at a cost of $155 for 2 years.

$1200 excise tax CO....probably $1100 next year. i will have paid the state of CO another $5k.

I would guess CO is probably the worse in the nation. The GOV here has a hatred of anyone with anything nice.

Reg is cheap $29. Property tax use is where they get you. Haven’t got my first bill yet but thinking it is $1000

its calculated based off the price of the vehicle. my jeep was $32k or so. also it will go down over the years.....slowly.... our explorer was over $500 iirc. it was a fully loaded Sport that stickered at $50k new.

lets have a round of applause for governor moonbeam for raising the reg rates, in addition to the gas tax, to "repair our roads".

$627 for my 2019 4 Door. And $81 for my 2000 Speed Triple in Washington State - King County. The "great" people of Seattle voted for a regional transit authority tax to be added in on car tabs. They're taxing the drivers to pay for the lightrail.
