i dont have the hooker cat back. Just letting you know that most catbacks will be quieter than stock with rear muffler removed.

@LincolnSixAlpha Its not about sound / power / etc. Its about finding a solution that allows you to remove the stock muffler since it breaks after dropping it on some rocks.
Well, that actually makes more sense to me, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Any updates on the new exhaust? How did the highway drive go?
Pretty nice actually. I had to immediately leave for a work trip, so didn't get a lot of driving time, but really liked the way it sounded. Slightly beefier than stock, but not annoying on the highway.

Great.

How do you like where the tail pipe extends. In the pictures it looks to run past rear bumper by a smidge.
I LOVE where the pipe sits under the bumper. It's almost exactly FLUSH and doesn't extend at all. I'll get a pic when I get home tomorrow.

I was on the way to order my Hooker Black heart because it is (was) the only aftermarket exhaust that has not a ricy look.

I was just not totally convinced of the tailpipe looking on the Hooker, and I saw that new AFE yesterday.

Looks perfect to me, but according to the video, it seems to be quite loud.

@cohocarl @inn8ive , what do you think ? Is your Hooker much more quiet ?

That’s for turbo 4 motor. Not the 3.6 v6.

The axle back is exactly the same ;)

The only différence is for the catback where the flange is différent.

Btw, there is the soundclip of it on the 3.6 as well on the afe YouTube channel.

Mine is the blackheart cat back. It has some drone so I’m actually planning on having the stock resonator welded in line. I love the look of it, and it sounds great other than the drone, not too loud.

RIPP has a really nice unit for the 3.6 they just came out with, but damn it’s expensive.
