Hi there,

Is anyone interested in installing hood struts?
I found this in the Amazon US. It’s not a cheap kit plus posting fee.
i couldn’t find it in Australia, or finding anything similar like this. So I hope if anyone could help.

the good thing of this kit is, no harm to the OEM hood at all.
Thanks.

Unfortunately the shipping costs to Australia are very high. The system is VERY easy to install and as you said requires no modifications to your vehicle. Plus our Quick release end fitting allows you to tilt the hood back to the windshield. :like:

I got a set and installed them. 15 minutes, instructions are spot on and they work great!!! I would definitely recommend them. Shipping was a tad bit longer than I expected but they were packaged very well and no issues! Go for it!!

Hello Everyone,
We are looking for a little more information on the "Export" hood that is a little different than the North American version due to the "passive pedestrian protection". Does anyone know what the differences are?

Aside from the shape in the hood, it is made from steel rather than aluminium, so assume there is a weight difference.
I have attached a photo of the engine bay of my 2.2L diesel. As you can see there is nothing special about the hinges, so not sure what the term "passive pedestrian protection" is referring to.
