Also, how do you go about getting a home built trailer registered?

In California registration is easy. You just go to Highway Patrol who does a check for proper lighting equipment and what not. Then they give you a Blue VIN sticker. Then just a trip to DMV, pay the reg fee and that’s it. Other than getting AAA to cover it.
Hadn’t thought about doing a build description. Started with scrap metal.
