And if you remember, she won: from Wikipedia:
Stella Liebeck. In 1992, 79-year-old Stella Liebeck bought a cup of takeout coffee at a McDonald's drive-thru in Albuquerque and spilled it on her lap. She sued McDonald's and a jury awarded her nearly $3 million in punitive damages for the burns she suffered.

EDIT: She was "only" awarded $640,000.
EDIT again: After appeal she settled "for less than $600,000.00"
Kramer settled for free coffee for life.

This V41 recall, a new steering stabilizer is not going to fix death wobble. It will only mask the problem.
Never understood why people say the stabilizer masks the problem. Isnt that what a stabilizer is exactly for? To stabilize the steering? What else is it for?

Not beating up on you dude, serious questions maybe I'm missing something...

Is like saying "putting air in a tire is only masking the problem of having a flat".

Steering stabilizers are more of a luxury item than a necessity. They're purpose is to tone down the amount of bump steer felt by the driver.

A steering stabilizer is primarily there to dampen bump steer. It won’t stop true death wobble, nor will it cause it. Death wobble is usually caused by bad tie rods ends, bad ball joints, loose track bar, etc., or a combination of bad or worn out parts. I‘ve driven Wranglers without a steering stabilizer, and it wasn’t a problem because all other front end components were good to go.

FCA, in pursuit of fuel mileage to appease our government overlords, have lightened up the front end components, added electric assist to the steering. This has a lot to do with JL steering issues IMHO.

On a Wrangler they are just as neccessary as air in your tire

I've had 2 upgraded stabilizers, the Adj Tereflex and currently the Fox ATS, both of which have cured the wobble.

If you had any wobble before the new stabilizer, the underlying problem is still there. It will prematurely wear the stabilizer, and the wobble will return. I would check out the tightness of the track bar and ball joints. My ball joints were loose from the factory.

Never really had the wobble before hand.

The upgraded stabilizers were installed to "tighten" everything up when I lifted it and put 35s.

I understand completely what your saying though

I just started a thread on this. The dealer did the recall and put the shock on upside down. Look at the sticker then check yours as this causes bad bump steer and wheel shake
Thanks for the pic. I'll check on my lunch

Hit a bump on the interstate going about 60-65, front end started shaking violently. Decelerated to 45 and the shaking stopped. Accelerated again to 70-75, hit another small bump, and the shaking was worse, almost to the point of losing control. Decelerated and exited the interstate. This Jeep has had the V41 recall performed at another dealership within the last month. Anyone had anything similar? I gave an appointment tomorrow to have it checked and maybe have the front end aligned
If you drove several miles with this installed incorrectly, you might have damaged it and would need another one, be sure to verify this. I’m getting older and sometimes can’t remember what I read correctly.......:)

I've driven hundreds of miles since the recall was done. I assume that's what you were referring to?

Yes, If it’s on backwards, tell them to replace it not just turn that one around, it’s possible it could be damaged. I mean the way I see it, why else would there be a sticker with arrows on it if it didn’t matter. Just my .02......:)

If you think you almost died from this, get on a bike and let a tank slapper happen on the highway.

Jeep death wobble = slow down and it stops

Tank Slapper = pray and throttle control, but mostly praying and buying new underwear.
