That is the guys forum name.. it was a twist.Clearly states ALMOST. Ready comprehension is a bitch
This is what I've been saying; people who've never experienced Jeeps or solid f/r axels are shocked and terrified as soon as they experience death wobble and some are stupid enough to sue over it, like the women who sued McDonalds after she pour coffee on herselfHit a bump on the interstate going about 60-65, front end started shaking violently. Decelerated to 45 and the shaking stopped. Accelerated again to 70-75, hit another small bump, and the shaking was worse, almost to the point of losing control. Decelerated and exited the interstate. This Jeep has had the V41 recall performed at another dealership within the last month. Anyone had anything similar? I gave an appointment tomorrow to have it checked and maybe have the front end aligned
I may have peed a little but I did not scream. BTW, does anyone know a good way to get pee out of a cloth seat? This is what I've been saying; people who've never experienced Jeeps or solid f/r axels are shocked and terrified as soon as they experience death wobble and some are stupid enough to sue over it, like the women who sued McDonalds after she pour coffee on herself
Welcome to the Jeep Life; now that you popped your cherry (which are hipster grapes), you can do mods, have the dealer do their fix, etc. Or realize the Jeep life ain't for you and move on, though I'm sure you'll stick with the former

(Should clarify, I'm not calling you stupid or anything OP, just stating that while you're not screaming hysterically, there's a few others in your position who would be)
Agreed. For many years I drove daily a CJ-7 and CJ-5 with no steering stabilizers and no death wobble. And that was with me doing the alignment (not tricky on a Jeep). Steering stabilizer seems more of a band-aid approach.Something is worn out and needs to be replaced - tire pressure will never cause death wobble by itself. it could be tie rod end, worn ball joints, worn wheel bearings, a worn or loose front track bar, a worn drag link or tie rod, or a combination of them. You should be able to drive your Jeep without a steering stabilizer and not have death wobble. I had it years ago and was properly fixed and never had it again.
At least no one that lived to tell about it...It ok, Jeep says its fine and no-one has actually died from the death wobble....![]()
I didn't think I had problems with my 2019 JLUR but after having the recall completed my steering feels a lot better. Maybe I'm dreaming it but I'm happy with the way my Jeep handlesSorry for your experience.. I have decided to not have mine done as I am not having any problems and do not want to introduce any so appreciate your posting. Anytime I have had vehicle issues it is when I let the dealer touch it and I mean simple oil changes.
I hope it all works out and please keep us posted.
Mine handles sooooo much better after the recall. There was always a constant struggle to keep it between the lines on the interstate.I didn't think I had problems with my 2019 JLUR but after having the recall completed my steering feels a lot better.
