Problem is even without dissimilar metals the corrosion still happens and has for years on aluminum panels. Chrysler and Ford both have had issues on hoods.
I fully agree. I'm convinced the issue with the JLs is water is getting underneath shitty paint and corroding the aluminum. Take a look at some early model JKs. They're pissing white all down the doors from the hinges.

My Willys is a June '22 build. No gaskets.
I'd love to see a picture of these "gaskets" I keep reading about...

Love to see a picture, too. From what I've seen (2020 JLUD - taking doors on/off probably 50+ times), the hinges are bolted directly to the body and door. No gaskets between them.

If you're talking about where the pin/bolt connects the to halves of the hinge, there IS an insert of some kind to prevent paint-on-paint rubbing as you open the door. I can tell you from experience that these do break over time, but mostly (in my case) from bolting on mirrors and foot pegs.

Ultimately, mine is 2 years old with 40k miles, and I have no corrosion.

There are some pictures floating around where there is very likely something there and not just painted over. Like I said though, no one has actually shown a picture of what they've done.

I saw an early 2010s JK recently in a parking lot that was SO bad in this regard, it was literally cringe-worthy. The rest of the Jeep looked fine, but the hinges, and the areas around and below them, were a total mess.
