Anyone with experience driving JL with Soft Top in Safari Mode on the freeway(with doors on of course)? Just wondering if there is any buffeting etc at highway speeds...

So no issues with it at all? I’d like to drive to work, but have spots where I’d be going 75 and didn’t know if the brackets/bars are built to hold safari top in place
...

I do it all the time up to 80mph. It’s geeat. No issues other than flapping rear seatbelts which I easily cured with Velcro straps. (They also flap with just the windows down, so not a sunrider issue per se.)

Ya, Safari mode has been fine on highway. In general Safari mode is amazing, its the best kept secret on the JL.

Just like everyone else, I loooove Safari mode. I had mine in Safari mode for about three months straight. Loved the airflow in the summertime and the Jeep looks so much better. No buffeting issues at all!

I pulled the doors and windows off my JL the night I bought it. They have not been on since and it has been nearly three months. I drive on the highway all the time and have never had a problem with the top. I love the safari top setup!

+1 It’s awesome. No issues on highway (and I don’t bother with the Velcro straps).
