Weird all of a sudden my 2019 JLU Sport high beams don't stay on. I don't know if it's related to having the start/stop system act up and replacing both batteries and the cstar connector behind the glove box. I can flash my high beams but that's it. I wonder if there's a fuse for it? What now!!

Are you pushing the lever forward to keep them on? The lever should detent forward and stay there until it's pulled back into its neutral position. Pulling the lever back only flashes highbeams, as the lever does not detent when pulled.

My Jeep is only my 2nd more modern vehicle. After I got my 1st, I thought it had a highbeam issue. Turns out that I was just used to the old school setup, where the lever only moved back. Pull it half way to flash, and all the way to keep them on.

Do you have the auto-high beam option?

@Headbarcode I don't think these have detents any more. I believe it's just a push-forward type switch

I don't have the auto high beam option and I'm pushing forward but doesn't stay.

There's no detent, it won't stay forward (per the owners manual). It seems like a software issue, have you tried cycling power (disconnecting both batteries) yet?

I think they are operating per design, albeit a poor design. Had the same thing with my Sport. When you activate the high beams by pushing the lever forward, the high beam element comes on, then the low beam element goes off. There is an overlap period. The high beams are so poor it appears they are not working.

I replaced mine with KC Hilites, huge improvement. The stock headlights are the worst I have ever experienced.

On mine - the lights do not stay on nor does the symbol on the dash.

If the indicator light doesn’t stay on, you have a problem. Maybe something with the switch. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than myself will have an idea.

Try cleaning your windshield. May sound stupid and funny, but worth a shot. This has been my first time having a vehicle with auto high beams. I realized after a week of the high beams not wanting to turn on... that it was due to insects, grime, dirt, etc. that had smudged across what I'm assuming is the camera on the top center part of the windshield. Probably from using the wipers.

Guess it makes a tad bit of sense that Jeep has the high beam turn off/stay off by default it it can't safely detect oncoming traffic. The HID head lights do attract a lot of bugs where I live so I'm sure I'm hitting quite a few lol

I don't have the auto high beam option on my 2019.
