I’m about to spring for Nitto 285/55R/20s for my HA to get a bit more of a beefy look and additional on-trail performance. Keeping the stock rims. Everything I can find tells me the modest weight gain (still under 85 lb total) will be fine without reinforcing the tail gate. Also, the slight increase in diameter will only affect the speedo 1 mph, and the transmission shifting won’t be affected at all. The 285s are just a half inch wider than the stock tires, but I think they will look great.

I'm right with you. It'll be the Ridge Grapplers for me. Trying to figure out how to get something for the stock tires -- probably not going to be worth a whole lot.

Don’t have an HA but I’m loving all the tire ideas you guys have given out…my xe has the 20” rims and I can’t wait to upgrade the tires…now…which tire to choose???

Here ya go! I think they look great. And I like the way they drive. Solid feeling — more like a Jeep. And they are relatively quiet. Really, I can’t tell much difference from the all-weather road tires that came stock.

Just to make sure. I am picking my 21 High Altitude JL up tomorrow. I want to order Nitto Ridge Grappler G2s. 305/55/R20. These will fit correctly right? OEM 20’s

Disclaimer: I am not a tire expert. I wanted a wider tire than the stock 275s on the HA. As I did my research, I found the 295/55/20 to be the widest that would fit (according to discounttires.com tire chooser). However, I decided to go with 285/55/20 to keep the weight below the 85 lb. tailgate weight that Jeep recommends. The guys at Discount Tire were very helpful. I plugged in the 305s you're considering, and the configurator flagged it with "These tires don't fit your vehicle." Not sure what to make of that, since your tire store says they'll fit. I'm wondering if they know that these are only 8-inch rims. You might consider going on the general forum to ask for advice. Plenty of real expertise there.

Just went on my first highway trip from NJ to NC to visit an uncle.
Despite all I'm hearing of steering issues, unsafe at speed my stock HA was a trooper doing 80 when the conditions permitted.

I’ve been driving mine on 95 twice a week 116 miles. Speed limit is 75 meaning I set my cruise to 81. There has been no issues with stock suspension and my normal car is a Porsche 911

I have Rock Star XD2’s with AT3’s and 35 x 12.5 waiting to be installed with Mopar fit by dealer. I will report back once I put some mileage on it

Hi all, waiting on my 4xe HA to come off the line. A lot of good info here so far. Seems like tires and speakers are the 2 day one upgrades to have. Look forward to contributing sooner or later.

What plastic piece was removed and did you get discoloration on bumber from tire. White may be a little different
