Mine is completely silent over the year it has been installed.
My keys for this:
-tighten the nut at the foot first. you need to make sure the nut is completely centered in the tapered hole. (this is the item the determines if the entire jack bounces when going over bumps) Do the passenger side nut and bolt second.
-Neoprene cover (as mentioned)
- I use 2 velcro straps holding the handle tight to the jack body. I am not a fan of bungee cords as they can flex, allowing squeaking. the velcro straps have no give, so I can pull them tight & they stay tight. (as mentioned)
-I also have one of the jack handle keepers, but understand these are worthless for silence. they are simply to keep the handle from moving much. alone they still allow it to move enough to make noise while driving.
