Hi-Lift and RotopaX options for the JL?

LOD has a huge rear bumper/tire carrier for rotopax

I think that's my favorite rear bumper so far, it's just so incredibly expensive, and that's without the modular attachments (including the ones to carry Jerry cans or Rotopax). As far as I have seen though, they're the only one of their kind out for the JL, so without competition they can pretty much charge what they want for now.

I had one mounted on the hood in a previous JK, it was out of the way but driving I couldn't stop thinking about a +29lb chunk of iron at windshield level and what the dynamics of it would be at impact, or getting that beast off when I needed it (2" lift, 35" tires) and lifting it across my HOOD to get it to the ground. I also had one mounted on the rear bumper (standing), this was useful, out of the way and didn't mean I had to drag it across my vehicle, but it was TALL!

The mount shown is the one I purchased (picture credit from Maximus-3 and Quadratec) works great on my new JL, and its right where I can get at it. Pretty happy with the results.

Sorry, but I won't condone the exterior mounting of a HiLifT Jack--it ruins it!!

The 48" HiLift Jack will mount UNDER the rear seats in a 4dr JK/JL--

Smart idea! Does it interfere with the rear seats movement when folding them down?

Well, it never did interfere with my FOLDED REAR SEATS IN MY '08 JKUR--BUT

That's ONLY WITH REMOVAL OF THE HILIFT BASE--pretty simple/quick--one cotter key--then the jack fits right under the seats-and

You can take it out either side--

I just used a couple Velcro straps to keep it from rattling !

Well, I have a two door also--and I have plenty of room in the cargo area for my "STUFF" and the HiLift Jack, even encased in it's "JACKBOX"--

Course that's with the rear seat out, but the HiLift would still fit with the rear seat folded down--

I don't know what your problem might be !!
