Is the "Bumper Hood" different (other than the sticker) than the stock Rubicon?

My 2018 JKUR Recon had an MSRP of $52,000, the most expensive Jeep I had bought up to that point, with the worst assembly quality of any Wrangler I owned: a loud clanking noise coming from the A-pillar, a squeaky driver seat, and an overall fit-and-finish worthy of a drunken plant shift.

To make matters worse, the only Jeep dealer in town refused to fix any of it under warranty.

Below are some examples of the workmanship on my last Recon.

Fancy stickers don’t guarantee they get installed properly

Half-inch gap from the hood to the cowl on the passenger side

You can at least fix the hood gap on your own, pop the bolts loose, and cinch it up a bit. Easy peasy. Same way you’d do the doors if you took the mounting brackets off and had to realign things.

I am sure. Still, I don't see why I should have to fix anything on a brand-new vehicle; let alone one that costs $52,000. All because the dealer doesn't want to do its job.

That experience left me a bad taste, and taught me not to waste my money on so-called Jeep "premium" editions.

I love Wranglers, but there's nothing "premium" about owning Jeeps, particularly with the crummy dealer experience, no matter the price tag.

Lesson learned.

A $65,000 Jeep with a 4-cyl engine?

Thanks but no thanks.
EXACT same thing that came to mind when I came in here!

Pay big bucks for a motor that Jeep doesn't trust to survive in the JT.
