yeah I know all about optioning out a Rubicon and it came close to 65k
So I guess I could have waited 3 years for my red seat belts instead of the ones I had made. Nah! Also looking forward to part numbers for the power bulge hood sticker and side vent stickers. Hoping they come out cheaper than those made by @pixeldecals but I would be pissed if I were him since they likely straight up stole his designs. Good luck suing FCA though. All in all a great package for the money especially if you already intended to by the steel bumper group!

They had the same style back on the JK.

JL sales must be running behind executives' expectations for Jeep to be slapping a black grille and matte stickers on Rubicons this early in the game.

You're saying this just a few days after the yearly sales numbers show the wrangler as one of the top sellers in the entire FCA lineup. Spare yourself the headache and just don't buy the Recon.

Really the 2.0 is the only offering for the Recon? WTF

My idea of a Recon Edition:

Axle Option:
Pro Rock 44

Gearing Option:
5.13ā€™s

Transmission Option:
6-Speed

Tire Option:
37ā€ tires

Engine options:
3.0L Diesels (yes paired with the 6-Spd)
3.6L
Hellcat Motor

Now THAT would be one bad MFā€™er!

The 2.0 performs well, Iā€™ve seen it in action but why not offer the others!!

My husband just wants a HEMI. I think that might be the only way I get him to trade in his JKU any time soon:LOL:

You all are overlooking the most important feature. The "recon" badge! That's a 15,000 value right there! It always made me laugh to see the "trail rated" badge listed on jeeps "standard included features". Watch the dealerships start to add "joe shmoe's chrysler jeep" sticker they put on the tail gates as a dealer upgrade with a $200 price.

I guess until we see more data we won't know if the other engines are optional equipment.

5.13s? I've seen a rubi on 37s and 4.88s fly up a hill so you must be going vertical. :giggle:

Iā€™m surprised Iā€™m the first to notice the BSG being used on a Rubicon again. My guess seems likely reinforced that they removed the option due to margins. They just got some back within the Recon markup I bet so here it comes again.

Thank you. No headaches here.

If you read properly, you will notice I didnā€™t say Wrangler wasnā€™t selling; I said sales must be ā€œrunning behind expectations.ā€

When pressured by unrealistic ā€œtargets,ā€ sales managers are known to make all sorts of silly decisions.
