This is my 1st Jeep, So i am not sure what works or doesnt.
Was hoping to get some expertise on wheels selection.

I have a 2021 JLU Diesel, stock config currently.
BUT I do plan on getting a 2.5 Lift on the vehicle in the near future.

I want to go with 35s on it.

I have my eyes on some wheels that is 17x8.5 16 Offset.

Will those work with 35s in stock height and lifted height?

Or if someone can tell me how i can figure out if a wheel will fit or not, that would be great!
Instead of just telling me Yes they work or No they dont.
Otherwise i will just never know / learn.

I would decide on which lift first, some require backspacing on the rims for the tires to clear and most companies will say their recommendations. I went with the Mopar 2" lift and 37" tires for those to clear the backspacing should be 4.5" they have calculators on rims sites - its the width-offset or something. I think for 35s and the Mopar 2" you need 3.5" of backspacing - I think but its the backspacing that's important. I was looking at 37s so 4.5 was what I needed, you can ask here also someone will have 35s. I asked about getting snow tires that were 35s on the stock rims and they told me they will rub unless they are 9" tires, which is narrow for a 35.

Check out tiresize.com

Lots of valuable information and also provides a direct visual comparison, when you enter both what you have and what you're looking to switch to.
