OK I am an idiot when it comes t tire sizes. So the 285-70-17 is really a 33" tire.? If so this one is out since I want to be in the 35" zone for sure. Hell I didn't put a lift on to roll 33".
This will help with metric tire size conversion. https://tiresize.com/calculator/

I had 315/70/17 KO2. 34.4 nominal size but actual on the JL was a bit under 34. If you want a true measured 35-inch tire you will need to get a 35x12.5x17 from a manufacturer that produces at or close to listed size OR go up to a 37 that measures near 35 in reality.

Keep in mind if you go too big you might need wheel spacers so as not to rub on the lower control arm or fender lining.

[edit] I see you are talking about -6 offset wheels. That should clear rubbing issues with what you want.

Also do I need to replace the tire pressure sensors? If so do I need to go OEM or grab something off quadratec. Yikes the rims were just delivered and I got no freakin tires.

You can take the ones out of your current rims or buy some from Quadratech. Many people have had bad luck with aftermarket sensors, I got mine from Extreme Terrain and they have not been a problem. There is a person that is a member or vendor on this forum that sells the ones from the same supplier that Jeep uses. He seems very knowledgeable. I would look for his posts, sorry I cannot remember the name, but do a search for TPMS.

Is the sensor on the outside or the inside of the tire...?

Which means I'd have to take the tires off the old wheels (at least partially) to retrieve the old sensors...
