My Sahara has 275/70R18 BF Goodrich KO2s: they are 1.1 inches taller and 0.8 inches wider than the OE 255/70R18 Bridgestone Duelers. They fit without a lift and without rubbing.

PS - If I were to replace the OE tires with a larger set, I'd choose an All Terrain with a more aggressive tread pattern than the Bridgestone Duelers.
How do the KO2’s hold up year around? Tirerack has them as pretty low compared to the others in the category.

Looking to beef up the look of my currently stock Sahara, and thinking of starting with the wheels.
The wheels or the tires? If you go down to a 17” wheel your tires would look a bit beefier. (Use the above links to test for size).

Stock Sahara’s are 255/70/18. We went with a 255/75R17

I am really leery about these KO2's. Just drove down from Vermont to Jersey. Snow and sleet. A light coat on the road. Traffic moving slow like 40-50. I went slightly sideways. Not even on a curve. Freaky. Maybe they are good in warm states and I know guys on JL Forums love them. I don't. .

I was actually looking at Costco deals as well. My original plan was 35 in KO2's. Ten I started looking at more street friendly tires like Revo's and Cooper AT3 4S. My KO2's are slippery in the rain. I am going to try driving slower. I think a larger Bridgestone Revo would look good.
I had the at3's and was not a big fan at all. They were horrible in packed snow (My KM2's were better.) My dad had the Revo's on his truck that I took hunting a couple of years ago and they did really well. Mud, snow, and packed snow, it did well in all. The mud was not deep just a couple of inches. I would recommend them.

My 2018 Sahara is currently wearing the factory wheels and Goodyear 255/70 R18 tires.
In my case, I'm not really looking for much taller, I'm looking for wider with a non-aggressive tread for sand duty. 36 pounds filled and aired down to 20 pounds on the beach.
The least aggressive the tread, the better.
We don't get much snow here, and even when we do, I typically don't drive in it because I don't have to (retired).
Street duty and sand is all this Jeep sees. Stock Sahara, no lift (and none planned).

I have been looking at the retro white wagon wheels recently released by Quadratec. These are 17's.
https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/cj-retro-alloy-wheel-wrangler-jk-jl

As for tires, I'm thinking a 295/60 R17 would give me a decent height, and the 60 cross section would give me the width and flotation I want.
So far as tread, something like the Michelin, BFG T/A, or Nitto street treads with a smooth sidewall would work best.
In sand, sidewall bulge and a street tread is the hot ticket.

Anybody here gone this route?

The current tires are 32.1" tall and 10" wide.
Using the tiresize.com site, it looks like I could mount a 305/60 R18 on the factory wheels. 32.4" tall and 12" wide.
or
305/65 R17 on the retro wagon wheels. 32.6" tall and 12" wide.

Of course a 33x12.5 R17 would be great on this wagon wheels at 33" tall and 12.5" wide, but BFG doesn't sell their "Sport Truck" street radials anymore (that I could find), so finding a smooth tread in that size could be a challenge.

Go on Craigslist and buy a set of 5 brand new Rubicon Take-Offs for $1200. Then sell your current wheels for $800. You can't buy just the tires for that price. They will fit nice.

I think those Quadratec retro wheels in white would look pretty cool.

I agree.

I had a set of the old 'original' painted steel 8-spokes on a Scout II back in 1977.
These new ones are powder coated aluminum alloy.
Retro cool.

Yes you can. Easy fit. No mods required.

How many miles on them now? What do you think about them now?
I’m at about 11,000 miles on them they are great in snow and mud and ride quiet which is a plus the biggest thing for me was cost as I got them for $140 a tire price matched them to Walmart at America’s tire but they are more now but still less than a lot of the other brands. They also run pretty true to size
