Hi, all. New here. I updated the halogen headlights and fog lights on my 19 Sahara with no issues. I bought the DRL and turn signals below, thinking they were plug and play, but I’m getting a fast flash. The seller so far has offered a $10 refund to buy the necessary transistors to fix the issue, and has also mentioned updating the UConnect to denote LED turn signals. I don’t see that option on my 7” UConnect. Is there a place to update that setting? Or do I need the transistor? If so, what is that? I’m clueless. Thanks.

A resistor, or better yet, a programmer, like the Tazer JL can tell your computer those lights are now LED. That will stop the fast flash, and any light out warnings.

Whoa, that’s a big fix for a small problem. I was thinking that since the seller was offering a $10 credit there could be a $10 solution. Otherwise, I could just buy LED housings for less than the programmer!

That Tazer looks cool, like I’d really like the advanced functionality, I’m just not sure I’m there yet.

The resistors would be the $10 solution and absolutely work.

Just a heads up with using resistors. They get hot enough to melt their way through plastic, so be careful with placement.

The Tazer would change the system to work with the LED's, rather than tricking the system into thinking there are still incandescent bulbs in use. Might be a worthwhile investment, especially if there's other features that interest you.

You should definitely invest in the Tazer. You will be able to change a lot with the Jeep and it will help with future upgrades like tires and gears.

And just like that I bought the Tazer. On sale at @Northridge4x4. Nice to see I have so much self-control.

The nice thing about the Tazer is you can reprogram a lot of different things, it'll come in handy for future mods!

Thanks for the order @Party Marty!

So, a recap. I have a Sahara, it had the halogens, it has the 7” UConnect. I’ve replaced all the bulbs with LED’s and purchased a Taser to tell it so. I’ve updated the setting in the submenu to “Canada,” allowing for full time DRL’s (I thought), but still don’t have full time DRL. What am I missing? Or where can I check to ensure everything is loaded correctly? Thanks.
