After hours and hours of research here, I am ready to make my first mod to my new 2021 Wrangler JLU Rubicon. I need help on the final choice of sizes please. FYI = While no lift now, I plan on a 2 to 3.5 inch lift within the next month or two.

I want 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers for sure.

Should I get the 35x12.50R17 or the LT315/70R17?

I want to mount them on Method 701’s for sure.

Should I get the 17x9 (-12 offset, 4.6 inch backspacing) or the 17x8.5 (0 offset, 4.75 inch backspacing)

I prefer as little as possible of the tire sticking out. Do not want to use spacers, but of course don’t want them to close in to rub when turning, etc.

Any suggestions or experiences with same or similar would be appreciated. Thanks

I think the 701 in a 0 offset with the 35x12.5 would be a solid choice. But hey that’s just me.

Agree with this. The -12 is going to stick out. The 0 is most likely going to be flush with wheel well. Also the difference between the 35/315 is going to be negligible. It varies based on tire of you’ll even notice any difference. Also stick with 2-2.5” lift. 3.5” lift will be too much gap IMO for 35’s.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Not sure on the Nittos, but if the 35 or 315/70 is available in a C or D load rating get the size w/ the C instead of the D or the D instead of the E if there's a choice there.

Here are a few pics of 315/70r17 ridge grapplers on -18 offset rims, I think your 0 offset option would be perfect on the Method 701's. The grapplers have been fantastic tires and I have no complaints with them, I just wish they were a bit narrower as I don't like wide tires.

Thanks again everyone. Went out to my local Discount Tire this morning and they matched the best prices I could find online from others. Ordered the 35x12.5R17 Ridge Grapplers and went with the Method 701 17x8.5's 0-Offsets recommend by all of you. They will be here in a few days.
