Installed smartsteer tack bar,tie rod and stabilizer with the correct mounting brackets. But every time I hit a speed bump I hear something make contact now I’m not sure what it is. I think it may be making contact with the tie rod bracket for the stabilizer. Anyone ever have these issues? Anyone could help? It’s a stock 2020 jl turbo

That tie rod clamp could be hitting the drag link when the front suspension collapses over the speed bumps.

Loosen the clamp and rotate it towards the rear as far as you can, before the stabilizer hits the front diff when turned full lock to the left.

The clamps on the tie rod are turned down right now. You’re saying to loosen it and turn the clamps on the tie rod so that the bolts are vertical facing the rear of the jeep? Would that really make a difference in the clearance?

No, the tie rod clamp for the steering stabilizer, its probably that, you will need to play with the stabilizer clamp and clearance it against the track bar bolts. I ended up having to swap out the track bar to metal cloak because the adjuster screws were just too damn big.

Oh ok so you’re saying to try turning the clamp on the tie rod side of the steering stabilizer to see if it’ll clear it better from the drag link. Sorry lol just trying to understand exactly what you mean. I think it’s getting hung up on that chipped corner of the clamp I just didn’t know if it’s ok to turn it more. Also I think I may have put my stabazlier on backwards ?

Yeah, maybe forward, maybe back but you can twist that clamp around a little bit. If it is that corner you could also just grind it down and hit with some black paint

When I get back from work on Wednesday I’m gonna try to turn it up and facing the back more. Hopefully that’s enough to get it done and hopefully that is the spot that’s contacting although from some visual inspection and bouncing it looked like really the only spot I could think of.
