What’s the mounting for speaker head?If you are looking for mounting ideas for your radio, there is a great hidden spot under your steering wheel behind the knee kick dash panel.
On this radio the handheld microphone also contains the speaker. If you want, you can wire an auxiliary speaker. So far I have found the handheld speaker adequate while driving volume wise. What’s the mounting for speaker head?
Ohh I was asking for the grab bar bolt mount for handheld microphone. On this radio the handheld microphone also contains the speaker. If you want, you can wire an auxiliary speaker. So far I have found the handheld speaker adequate while driving volume wise.
The grab bar bolt ball mount is from Carolina Metal Masters. The arm is the smallest one that 67 Designs sells and I also used their Magnetic Mic kit. All salty, but robust.Ohh I was asking for the grab bar bolt mount for handheld microphone.
Thank you though
You might also check out the Cool Tech mic mount, which I used and was very easy to mount. Took no more than 10 minutes and works great with the Midland 275. https://www.cooltechllc.com/2018-jeep-wrangler-jl/104-jl-mic-mount.htmlI was asking for the grab bar bolt mount for handheld microphone.

checking back in, how did things work out?Heading to MOAB tomorrow for four days, and will be doing testing. Will report back upon my return. Thanks.
I certainly wouldn't want 50 watts of RF emitting 10 inches away from someone's head and bouncing around the cabin with the top on. That set up looks dangerous unless it's only running at 5 or so watts.Does this setup work well? Any issue with having it inside compared to mounting it outside?
It worked fine for on the trail with other rigs. I moved it to the back, on the tailgate to get it out of the cabin, and have a little taller antenna.Does this setup work well? Any issue with having it inside compared to mounting it outside?
That is one of the reasons I moved it out. I wanted to use more power although, it worked well at low power on the trail in a group.I certainly wouldn't want 50 watts of RF emitting 10 inches away from someone's head and bouncing around the cabin with the top on.
