Help me select tires

Finally got my jeep and love it. Picked it up on Thursday and drove it home little over 200 miles.
This morning I took it off road around here where I live.
Decided not to rush by getting AT tires on advice by one member.
The OE Nexen Roadian HTX2 will do just fine.

Thats my spec 2025 white 2 door sport manual.
Hope youre enjoying it. Loving mine so far (after just over a year).
Took it cross country from NY to LA and back. The Nexen Roadians somehow managed very well and even held its own during a snow storm 11k feet elevation Colorado. Using 4H of course.
Recently began to think about upgrading tires. Looking at the Cooper Road+Trail and Destination AT2 as a baseline. Probably will do 265 70 r17

FYI let me know if youd like suggestions on how to get heated seats, factory auto headlights, and shifter knob modifications. Very simple and cheap creature comfort mods and has made owning a base wrangler effortless

That was a brilliant idea. Don’t rush to buy tires before you have some adventures under your belt. Figure out how much lift and/or travel you need before committing to tires. You will want your times to look good and improve your setup. That is only possible if you want until you know what that setup needs to be.

You are on the right track. Keep us posted.

Consider Toyos while you are comparison shopping. I've bought countless sets of tires over the decades. The Toyos I’ve had for about 6k miles now have impressed me the most. Reasonable noise, actually quite good for the tread aggressive tread pattern. Impressive sand and rock performance. Good street and highway manners. Very decent in rain. Haven’t used them in mud.

These are 285/70/17s (32.8”) Toyo Open Country RT Trail tires on stock wheels, 2 door, no lift. This is a pre-‘24 Willys, so new it came with 32” Firestone tired that were terrible in all ways, except in gravel.
