was working on installing the stinger Heigh10 yesterday and got to the step where you unplug the usb off the back side of the console and plug the new one in.

I ran out of time last night and hopped in to go to work just now. Jeep won’t start.

I plugged the old usb wire back in and the dash says “service airbag”

and the radio screen has “please enter anti-theft code”

I would say to put everything back to stock for the moment until you have more time.
Double check all of the connections to make sure the plugs are all in the right place

Yeah, I plugged the original UsB wire back in. I never plugged the new wire in to the front. So, everything is back to stock.

It seems like it is in anti theft mode. And needs the four digit code to go anywhere.

Maybe unhooking the positive off the battery and then back on?

All you have to unplug is the negative, but you can do both if you want.

On another note, make sure you always remove the negative battery terminal before you mess with any major electronics, like changing out the radio. Everything goes through the radio on a JL.

Yeah.... Jeeps do that.

For those of you who can't tell, it's sarcasm. :)

Even if you unhook the main battery under the hood. There is a small motorcycle battery under the fuse box that’s still providing power (if you have the non-ETorque version). So it wouldn’t work.

So, the antitheft code is pretty simple, you need your VIN and I think the serial number on the back of the unit. Call your dealer and they will give it to you over the phone. I have had to go through that process before.

Okay, so I called Jeep care and they told me I should have a card from the salesman I purchased the Jeep from with the code. I do not have that. So, they said I would need to contact them to get the code.

Prior to buying the heigh10, I called the dealership to get the unlock code for the 7” uconnect (so I could sell it) and they told me they needed a number that was on the back of the uconnect. I have not removed the uconnect yet.

So, I will try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery now.

If that doesn’t work, I will pull the uconnect and go from there.

i may be mistaken, but i think you will have to pull all the cables off the negative side of the main battery to get full disconnect.
Did this and still won’t start.

When I press the button I hear a clicking.

Well, the dealership is closed on Sunday.

I got the uconnect out and have the numbers.

I guess at this point, I have to finish installing the heigh10. What I am wondering now is, will the Jeep still be in anti-theft mode with the new heigh10 installed??

If this is the case, why doesn’t stinger mention this for the install?
