I have a 2018 Unlimited Sport 4 door JL. I purchased 4 generic door actuators and a keyless module to control the actuators. I took the driver's door panel off and noticed that the cables to the door handle and door lock come off with the panel. On the older jeeps the door handle and door lock cable are attached to the actual door making it easier to mount the actuators. Does anyone have any insight on how to attack this other then going to a dealer or aftermarket shop. I'm pretty handy and would like to use what I bought maybe just add a kit to adapt it.

Any way you can post some pictures of what you’re describing? My first thought might be to mount the actuator to the panel, and leave enough wire so that you can make the connections and put the panel in place.

I did not take pictures and I should have. It did not look like there was enough room between the panel and the door to mount the actuator to the panel. Also, if I was to mount it to the mount it would have to be glued to panel not screwed no depth to panel to keep screws from popping out. The actuator may have to go inside the door near the latch. But to do that you have to take the insert panel out and attached to that is the window motor. The jeep is brand new and has only 500 miles so I did not want to go that far. I was hoping someone had this figured out already. I contacted Quadrotrac Jeep Specialist and they said that the JL is too new and they do not have a kit yet.

Do you know that post and was it for a JL. I have not seen mopar actuators for a JL jeep yet.
