help! disconnect fog light connection in front bumper??

i can not figure out how to disconnect the fog lights behind the front bumper. trying to install a winch and take the bumper off. any ideas? thanks!

What you took a pic of is the disconnect. Just push the tab and pull apart.

i know that is the disconnect but i can't see any tab to push to get it to disconnect....

Mine was a bit difficult to get disconnected. I had to use a small screw driver to press the tab down and pull really hard to get it apart.

The male part with the tab goes with the bumper. The female side stays on the jeep

Then you can't use your FOG LIGHTS---Heh Heh--

You can disconnect the battery when you're doing any rewiring/messing around with components/adding lighting, but with just CONNECTORS NO PROBLEMO-

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I’m switching to an oem steel front bumper and am having the same issue not being able to disconnect the fog light wiring harness.

Which part of the male ‘tab’ do you push down with a screw driver?

I’ve been working on this for 20-30 mins and cannot figure it out. I also don’t want to break any parts of the tab or harness, since I’ll be moving the harness to the steel take off.

I struggled with this same thing. You have to press down where you see two humps on the casing and at the same time pull the two casings away from each other.

Pushing down on those humps lowers the catch shown in the second picture allowing the two pieces to unlock.
