All-

Been doing a ton of research online and in this forum, and am learning a ton. That said, i wanted to confirm before i placed my order. Here's what I'm planning to do. Also of note, I do not plan to lift the car, and I'd like to minimize how far out the new tires are while also getting a meatier tier on the car. With that said:

Wheels: Fuel Beast, 17x9, 5x127, +1 Offset
https://www.bbwheelsonline.com/fuel-beast-wheels-17x9-5x127-5x5-5x5-01mm-black-machine-D56417907350/

Tires: Falken Wildpeak A/T3W SL 117/T, P285/70
https://www.bbwheelsonline.com/falk...7-tire-117t-deep-discount-for-a-limited-time/

I ran it in tiresize.com below and it seems like it should fit OK. But would love anyone here to confirm for me before I spend a ton on this setup! Thank you!!

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Here's mine on 17x8.5 +10 w/ 295/70s w/ no lift before & after the tire/wheel swap
Your 285 will be out about a 1/4" from mine at the fender edge and wheels about 5/8" out from mine, so real close to the fit I'm running. IMO it's just about perfect! Although I just got rubicon suspension parts to swap them in next week for a bit more lift and travel :)

Thanks for the details. I am also in the process if putting on tires as I just finished the 2.5 Teraflex. The issue I have with tires sticking out is that it causes water to fly up against the body and I have see hinges and the mirrors start to rust and fade. I'm trying to go as wide as I can on the stock 17/7.5 rims. Anyone know how wide I can go on those. Yours definitely transformed your jeep though, the exact transformation I'm looking to do. It's amazing what a set of tires can do for the look of your Jeep. Also, they are are going to rip you apart on here for calling it a "Car" be prepared.....lol

These are my 17/7.5 rims that I'm looking to mount 35" tires. Can anyone tell me how wide I can go without spacers?

Most of the 35s are available as a 315 or 12.5" width, the 315s are just a bit narrower and about a 1/2" shorter (depending on tire brand). The main problem is inner clearance at full lock and under heavy spring flex. If you're not opposed to adding spacers as needed or going to wheels with less positive offset in the future then no problem trying the big boys on your OEM wheel set, many have done that around here. Just depends how hard your off-roading gets.

There are 35s in 11.5" widths but the choices are much more limited, but would be a better fit on the OEM wheel set.

Not planning on off roading, but I make full turns all the time & I don't want anything to rub.

If you're not prepared to add spacers or look into a new set of wheels maybe they have a 11.5" width in a tire you like???

285 is as wide as you can go without rubbing on LCA on stock wheels

Only tire I want is the Cooper Discoverer STT Pros 35". My JL is already lifted 2.5 if that makes difference.

That makes inner clearance worse since you'll have more shock/spring travel which gives you more articulation resulting in a larger arc.

Hello. I’m also looking into fuel beasts 17x9 with 1mm offset.

looking to put 285/70/17 BFGoodrich ko2s on them

should this work okay on a stock (no lift) jlu sport.

do I need anything else (other than sensors switched from my stock rims)

Did you need spacers? Sorry I know nothing about this stuff ‍♀ Don’t want to mess my Jeep up. The advice is appreciated.
