Adding some LCA skids and now I cannot line up the LCA rear hole. Any hints. It seems the bracket has move aft relative to the LCA bushing. Hard to see but the bushing is not lining up with the black OEM bracket. The skid isn’t the problem.

Use a ratchet strap to pull the axle forward enough to get the bolt in. Sometimes easier said than done.....you may need a 2nd set of hands/eyes to get it together.

Or....try using a jack to lightly lift up the pinion, that may rotate the axle enough to get it in.....

Thanks I will try the ratchet strap idea.

@dragoneggs Another option for the next time you need to line up CA bushings. If you chock the other axle, you can roll the tire closest to the one your trying to line up, and kick a chock under it to hold it. Hope that makes sense.

They do have a new one, actually new enough I hadn't seen it before, but it doesn't look like it utilizes the shock bolt:

If upgrading FAD shield, do it before front LCA skid...

They are Rancho gifted to me by fellow forum member. Well scraped up but I did a little grinding, grit blasted and painted them bronze to match my wheels. I am getting rid of all red color on the exterior.

I put on Artec ones and had the same problem as you. The ratchet strap was so tight it made me nervous. I didn’t think there was enough thread showing so I ordered a different set of bolts:

I added the Artec FAD skid & then tried the RH LCA skids afterwards some years back. I couldn't seem to get them to fit... the LCA skid is a bit on the thick side & they don't play nice together. I've been sitting on an MC FAD skid but I'll admit to being too lazy to do this again.
