Hey
Thank you,

Here is the jack mount information, no problems or rattles.

The tires are 35” on Mopar beadlocking wheels with the true beadlocking ring
I did the Mopar lift. I went with a lot of the Mopar parts for a number of reasons.

My entire build was built with the mindset of durability, reliability and warranty.
I’m supper hard on my equipment and expect it to take the punishment I give it and get me home.
Here are a couple photos of the location of my radio equipment and air compressor.
Last weekend during a test trip I got airborne a few times. The gobi roof rack upper stabilizers bolts rattled lose, I’ll need to red loctite them before this weekend run.

If you have any questions please let me know.
I have my entire build on paper and can post or send you a link.

Thanks a lot I really appreciate it, that’s awesome.

Are you in California, Southern California?
I ordered my Rubicon in February and got it April 21. Like you, I have a white JLUR and had all my components for the build before my Jeep was completed. Once I picked up my jeep but at home and installed everything all at once I want to break it in with everything on. Like you I went with Mopar on most of my stuff. I also want to reliable as well as the components that were built for this vehicle. Send you a private message with pictures instead of going through this tread.

Hey you two,

Wanted to say thank you to both of you for all the help you gave me with my JL and some of the small problems I had with it in the beginning.

Here is my final build.
It will spend most of its time off road or in my garage.
I’ll be attending an off road run this weekend where there will be almost 80 jeepers attending.

Thank you again,

James Harvey

Seems like the problems/complaints are slowing up a bit. I waited for the 19s to order my Sahara. Hope I waited long enough. My 2013 JK has been a great vehicle - other than a warranty heater core replacement at about 70,000 miles and that crappy staining under the door hinges.
I don't understand what a "jeep thing" is. Bad steering, leaks, faulty electronics aren't right no matter what the vehicle is.
Here 's to a better 2019 model year.
Guess they haven't started production yet but I can wait. Hope they get things right. My thanks to all you Jeepers that bought in 18 that hopefully make my 19 better.

They did get things right. You are basing your assessment on an internet forum, which is not the place to quantify defects. Mine was a December 2017 build and has about 10,000 trouble free miles on it. No bad steering, faulty electronics, leaks, runs, drips, or errors. There are many others like that, too.

Not really relying on this forum. If I did, I would not buy a wrangler. Most only post problems- but they are problems. When I bought my 2013 Sport S, the forum was full of problems also but I had none but the covered heater core in 116,000 miles. I replaced front brakes once and bought one set of tires. That's it.
I was saying that usually a first year model change has the most problems. That is why I waited. The other thing is vehicle faults should not be flippantly referred to as a "jeep thing". I can understand a stiff ride, not the best mileage. It is a jeep and you know these things by just looking at it. But there seems to be a number of complaints about the steering, welds, and electronics. I am betting over $40,000 that they address these issues and fix them

New update::
Jeep was towed to Dealership 2 weeks ago because battery was dead every morning. After getting FCA involved and Jeep Cares we finally got a replacement unit authorized along with both batteries being replaced as well. So far after picking up everything is working well. It was tough due to them getting to understand issue of rebooting and battery going dead had to get Jeep towed to finally get them to take action.

How do I reprogram a new keyfob to work with my JL? Every vehicle has a series of button pushes with the ignition or similar that maps a blank key to the fob. I'd like to know what that is for the JL, so I can reprogram my new blank fob.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Matthew,
I looked into this for you and per page 21 in your Owner's Manual, it states: "Programming the key fob may be performed by an authorized dealer". If you would like help finding a dealer or setting up an appointment to have this done, you can send us a private message and we would be happy to assist you.

Since @JeepCares is as forthcoming as usual, I found some instructions for the JK.

I would not be surprised if the same steps can be modified to work.

Try keeping each fob out of the cab unless it’s being used in that step - essentially the same as putting the old JK sentry key in the ignition.

If that doesn’t work, maybe try it again - this time pushing the run button with each fob tip.

Step 1 - The first step is to purchase a blank transponder key. You can purchase these keys from your local Jeep dealer or you can look online for a better deal from a company that sells Jeep parts and Jeep accessories. Once you have purchased a blank Sentry transponder key, bring it to a locksmith to have it cut to match your original key.

Step 2 – Next, insert one of the sentry keys into you ignition. Turn the ignition to the “ON" position for at least 3 seconds, but no longer than 15 seconds.

Step 3 – Next, turn your ignition back to the “OFF" position and replace the first sentry key with the second key. Turn your ignition to the “ON" position again. Make sure the time between switching keys does not exceed 15 seconds.

Step 4 - After about 10 seconds of inserting the second key and turning it the “ON" position, the SKIS indicator light in your instrument cluster will beep once and begin to flash indicating that the system has entered “Customer Learn Programming Mode."

Step 5 - Within a minute of entering the “Customer Learn Programming Mode," turn your ignition switch to the “OFF" position and insert your blank sentry key. Next, turn the ignition back to the “ON" position.

Step 6 - Within 10 seconds of turning your ignition to the “ON" position, you will hear a single beep. Then the SKIS indicator in your instrument panel will stop flashing and stay lit up for 3 seconds, then turn off. This indicates that you have successfully programmed your Sentry Key. You are now ready to start your vehicle with your newly programmed Sentry Key.

If the above steps are not performed correctly, the SKIS will exit "Customer Learn Programming Mode" and the key will not be programmed. Programming your sentry key will also be unsuccessful if you use a non-blank key when you should be using a blank sentry key, you have already programmed the maximum allowed (8) keys to your vehicle, or if you turn your ignition off for more than 50 seconds during the programming process. In addition, if you attempt to start your vehicle during the programming process, the vehicle will deem the key invalid and turn the engine off after a few seconds. This sytem is an excellent way to protect your Jeep. As far as Jeep parts and Jeep accessories go, this one is at the top of the list in regards to a theft deterrent.

Hi @JeepCares

Why do we in Europe get screwed with the Rubicon? If I buy a Rubicon in Europe, I will get:
- 32" Tires
- No Rubi Front Bumper
- No Rubi Fenders (we get the lower ones)

By the way, the configurator on the Swiss webpage doesn't even match the pricelist.

FCA sucks in my opinion.. Sorry for that. :)

However, I would love to buy a JLUR... But it is frustrating that I need to import one, because FCA is offering some fake Rubicon in Europe.
