Probably because they are being overloaded with nonsense like this. Jeepcares isn’t supposed to be caring about your tracking. They are dealing with big issues that individual people are having with their specific vehicle.

Amazes me how easily people point the finger on this forum at @JAY @jeepdealerguy and @JeepCares these guys go out of their way to offer you guys a free service because they do care.
JeepCares is not a Free service they get paid for doing this is there job,

As for dealers or vendors they are trying to get your business with some are passionate and trying to help.

It amazes me how people would think that JeepCares is a person donating their time for free...

Don’t Star a post to help people then don’t respond, also there is no rules or scale as to what questions should be asked and what should not. Until there are stop telling people that they are wasting there time.

I didn't point a single finger at the admins here. The overall tracking system problems is definitely an issue everyone wants addressed and fixed.

Your response helped nothing.

Bye bye now.
Jay and jeepdealerguy are doing this for free, they aren't required to be on here, sorry to not clarify that should've separated the two mistake on my part.

Jeepcares is getting paid yes, but they have nothing to do with the tracking. Jay and dealerguy provides a free tracking service on here. Jeep as well, you can contact them and they will give you updates on your car. But they aren't advertising this service or telling anyone that it is accurate. Of course it's clunky, why should they dump a bunch of money into something that doesn't really matter, the buyer will have to wait either way. It's a courtesy service provided by them. Quit wasting jeepcares time with it...This is the point I was trying to make.

@simpleJL I understand the wait sucks, I was there. I ordered 10/28 and took delivery three months later to the day. It's going to be awhile. The tracking is clunky. No need to turn your anger towards me, admins, jeepcares, other members, etc. Part of the process. You'll have it soon and you won't even remember the crappy tracking service after a couple days

Again...

I never expressed anger to the admins or other members here. Stop bringing people I have never expressed any complaint toward.

Just expressing that Jeep needs to get their shit together when it comes to tracking. And my dealer shouldn't have to poke and prod to get the most basic of information from FCA. Jeep would be better off supplying 0 information than the nonsense information we receive.

I guarantee you they are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars over their lackluster customer service and lack of transparency.

Jeep does not have to offer tracking, what other brands offer a more accurate service? They told you a 2-3 month wait like my dealer did I assume?
They give you updates as a courtesy! It's not a service. You are making yourself look like a clown. Gotta tone it down a little. Jeep is not losing hundreds of thousands of dollars for producing a brand new model vehicle within three months (and telling customers it will take that long). Theres plenty of other options for you to go out and purchase someone will gladly buy the jeep you already ordered.
Please quit highjacking this thread and let jeepcares do their job

Well, here's something that maybe JeepCares can look into...and I'll admit, I didn't read through the full 25 pages of this thread: What about being able to re-calibrate the speedo to compensate for 35" tires? At the vehicle launch, I thought (hell, I could be wrong) that the word was that the JL would be able to do this on it's own. Well, that didn't happen. So now, I'm perfectly fine with taking mine into the dealer to re-cal, however it seems as if even the dealers can't do this. What I am sure of is that the Rubicon is marketed as being able to take 35" tires with no lift. They even showed off a Mojito with 37"s (may have been 35"s, but either way). What is being done to fix this?

Well, I'm not @JeepCares, but I can offer two data points:

1) I've been running 35" KO2s for about 500 miles on my JLUR. I've been comparing GPS-reported speed with speedometer readings They've been dead-on accurate, even at 65 and 75 mph.

2) While I was getting my post-lift (Mopar 2") alignment at the dealership, the tech said I'm supposed to update the computer to run 35" tires. I questioned the need for this update, given my observations and what we've been hearing in these forums. The service writer countered by pointing at a service-bulletin printout with JL logo on the header saying they looked it up. When I asked to see that printout, I was told that wasn't allowed.

" When I asked to see that printout, I was told that wasn't allowed."

Hence the reason dealerships make more money on service than they do selling cars.

They 100% said at launch the new JL rubicon’s can fit 35s without any other alteration, and that the computer would automatically recalibrate for upto 35” tires.

How true that is, I don’t know

My GPS observations seem to confirm those statements. But I still want to see that service bulletin.

I've had two dealers tell me they can't do it. Mine is 4mph faster than the indicated speed on the speedometer, at 50mph.

Life is not fair

Nothing in life is guaranteed

Mine's not that much off, but it is right at the 5% I expected going to 315's from 285s...checked it both with a phone app and with my handheld Garmin...
